Waste Engine Oil Remediation Using Low Cost Natural Clay Absorbent Material
The aim of the current research is to examine the potential of locally available natural clay mineral to act as an effective absorbent for waste engine oil treatment. The clay mineral was collected from the southern region of Saudi Arabia and was used without any kind of surface modification. The clay mineral was characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray fluorescence (XPS) and Braunner-Em...
متن کاملSimulation of Store Separation using Low-cost CFD with Dynamic Meshing
The simulation of the store separation using the automatic coupling of dynamic equations with flow aerodynamics is addressed. The precision and cost (calculation time) were considered as comparators. The method used in the present research decreased the calculation cost while limiting the solution error within a specific and tolerable interval. The methods applied to model the aerodynamic force...
متن کاملInteractive dynamic simulation using haptic interaction
This paper describes an interactive dynamic simulator for virtual environments which allows user interaction via a haptic interface. The interactive simulation is performed in our testbed dynamic simulator I-GMS, which has been developed in an object-oriented framework for simulating motions of free bodies and complex linkages such as those needed for robotic systems or human body simulation. U...
متن کاملA low - cost approach towards non - haptic medical training
A low-cost approach towards non-haptic medical training By: Julian Thomas Ewers-Peters Supervisor: Prof. Marie Redmond As Virtual Reality Training Systems (VRTS) become more advanced, they are increasingly being regarded as valuable facilities for the acquisition of dextrous clinical skills among medical doctors and anesthetists. This work explores the possibilities that are provided by introdu...
متن کاملLow Cost Force-Feedback Interaction with Haptic Digital Audio Effects
We present the results of an experimental study of Haptic Digital Audio Effects with and without force feedback. Participants experienced through a low cost Falcon haptic device two new real-time physical audio effect models we have developed under the CORDIS-ANIMA formalism. The results indicate that the haptic modality changed the user’s experience significantly.
